Briefly ... At Sports Memorabilia (part of Genuine Memorabilia Ltd) you’ll find a really good selection of genuine sports autographs for sale (our film and music memorabilia is now all on genmem.co.uk). We collect our own signatures and we sometimes use other trusted sources, which means we may use other AFTAL members or someone closely connected with us whom we trust. Our business is all about you trusting us and us trusting people too so we have strict policies in place to protect our reputation. Any catches? We guarantee our autographs are genuine and we hope you'll find it very reassuring that everything you buy comes with a no quibble 14 day returns policy and full refund, you'll just need to cover your postage if you return something. Our Refunds & Returns page provides more info but please note we don't refund the cost of shipping for expensive items such as guitars. We also supply a certificate of authenticity with every item.
How did it all start? Our main man, Dave Sherwood, starting collecting celeb autographs over 30 years ago on his travels around the world. Dave's also an award-winning member of Surrey Police and he’s taken a career break to concentrate solely on collecting autographs as the business continues to grow along with the demands on his time. Kerry Dixon, Chelsea FC legend and 2nd highest goalscorer in Chelsea's history (420 games 193 goals) is pleased to support GenMem! Kerry says "It's great to be part of the Genuine Memorabilia team. Honesty and Professionalism We've been involved in collecting autographs for many years but it’s increasingly important to promote your honesty, professionalism, policies and ethics, especially online. Please see our ‘Tips & Hints’ page for information that will help you avoid unscrupulous traders and the inevitable disappointment of a mistaken purchase. We try to be as open and transparent to scrutiny as possible and we are have applied for AFTAL membership. It takes several months for the application to be processed but we're hoping we'll have something sorted by March 2012. We put a real face and a real name for all to see and we are easily contactable; the mobile on the homepage links directly to Dave, our main collector. Dave, along with brothers Kris and Ryan, spend many hours patiently attending events and braving the weather in the hope of a signature. The Collection 2011 has been a cracking year but we still have many items yet to go online.
